school of engineering
Technologies

Our School of Engineering Technologies is based in our 100,000 sq. ft. Ford Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing. Our programs provide opportunities for work-integrated learning, giving students the opportunity to build relationships within the industry while gaining real-world experience. Engineering Technologists are typically employed in aerospace, construction, energy, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, power generation, and transportation sectors.

Engineering Technology students are involved in the start of the manufacturing process, leading to careers in many high-demand fields. Students learn in an environment that includes the latest equipment used in the industry, and they have opportunities for field placements and pathways to other postgraduate programs. Our relationships with leading local and global companies provide students with opportunities for presenting capstone projects to industry leaders.

Our state-of-the-art onsite Registered Power Plant provides learning opportunities across the full breadth of power-related industries. Students gain essential hands-on plant operation, maintenance, and water testing experience. Many of our labs in the School of Engineering Technologies have a cap of 20 students per section, this provides the benefit of small class sizes and the opportunity for focused attention to master the skills needed to be future-ready.
